Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Update
This release also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
