Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
