'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Families of Missing Teens Desperately Seek Answers After Alpine Blaze
The relatives of teenagers unaccounted for after a tragic blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for information about their family members publicly.
The fire devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Verified footage reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Officials have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the victims of the fire, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and wounded another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to name the final individuals.
