Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
